Hey everyone,
Sorry it has been so long since I added any new backgrounds and I promise to have at least one new one sometime this week. If you read my other blog Bingham Survival Guide, you will know that I got a promotion at work and am working allot more hours. I do check my comments daily though, so keep the requests coming for custom backgrounds! I love doing them and I love seeing my backgrounds all over the blogging community. So if you have a blogging friend that wants a cool background spread the word!

Extra Wide Backgrounds

So I recently added a side column to my blog. Well because of the extra width I needed extra wide backgrounds. I figured maybe some one out there might have a tree column blog too or maybe just wants that extra space so here are the layouts I have made so far.

HOOORRAAYY!!!

So I figured out how to share the HTML to my animations! You have to use the animation in the side bar, but all you have to do is click on them and it will take you to photobucket and then you can go to the right of the animation and it will have all the codes listed, including the HTML. All you have to do is go to layout and add page element. scroll down to the HTML/Java and paste the code in the main window! So simple and so fun! I will have a special sidebar on the left just for animations. So come check them out and take what you want.....I do like hearing from you too so leave me a comment when you see something you like!

So I haven't done any new layouts for a while, so here is one and I will try to get a few more on here:)

Here it is the First Animation!

So in honor of no sleep because Aden is teething, here you have the first animation. It is called counting sheep. To get this cute little cartoon in your sidebar go to "layout", "add a page element", scroll down to the "HTML/Javascript" Copy the HTML code and Paste it in the box. It is super simple and you have yourself a cute little sheep! For HTML code please email me or leave an email in comments and I will send it. I can't seem to paste it without it translating it and showing the animation instead of the code....any one have any suggestions?

Animations Comming Soon!

So the reason I haven't done any new layouts is because I have figured out how to do animations! (if you couldn't tell by my header). Well don't worry I will make more layouts soon....any one with a special request may make one at anytime:)! In fact I just finished a customized layout for the Peacock family....you can see it here: http://www.flockofpeacocks.blogspot.com/
So if you want a one-of-kind custom made layout just let me know what you want on it and I will get you the link.
As far as the animations go, getting it on your header is a complicated process and I haven't perfected it. But, I will be making some cute animations to go in the sidebar! If any one has any suggestions of something they want animated let me know..I will do my best to make it. I will be makeing some "sidebar pets" if I can get that good at it. So if you have a special request for a side bar pet let me know.
Or if you want a quote animated I can also do that so just start requesting and I will get going:)!

What if I can't see the font on my new layout?

Ok so if you are haveing trouble seeing the font on your layout you can easily fix it by changeing color. But if that isn't enough you can also make it bold. Here are step by step instructions for both just in case you don't know how.
Under layout there is the "font and colors" tab...go there. You will see a list on the left that has things such as "background color" and "post text color" and a color palet on the far right. Now there isn't any real trick to this just click on the one you want to change and then the color you want. Now makeing the the text bold is just as easy. When you scroll down through all the text and background and other color decisions you can change font. Well you don't have to change the font to make what you have bold. Just click on each of the text selections and go to the right hand side where you can make it bold or italisized and just check the box next to bold. You can also change the size of the text to larger or smaller. I know some of my layouts make it a little harder to read the text so here is a simple solution so you can keep your cute layout :)

So I did this one for all the Peacocks out there:) I used to be one! So here it is...remember to tell me if you use it or if you want a matching header. Just right click and copy short cut and paste it in your HTML. (see step 7 in the side bar step by step instructions)

A new thing learned (Continued)

So I wrote about fixing the problem with music players and videos fiting in the sidebar....well with video players I have notice there is only one of each hight and width to change....well on the music player there are three or more and not all of them are in quotations like my example. So just be sure you change all of them 220 to get it to fit properly :)!

A new thing I learned

So I have noticed alot of people have playlists or video on their side bars, which I am one of those people. The thing I noticed about them is they don't always fit correctly, cutting off some of the picture or music player. So I found a solution..... So when you post an HTML from a differnt site, each site has it's own standard for sizes and it doesn't always fit. For example I put a slide/video show from photobucket on my side bar. It came with the HTML like this:

Now most of this is stuff I don't understand but the part I do understand are the parts that say width="300" and height="300"
well the sidebar on my blog, and many other people's blog, isn't 300 pixels, it is 220. So all you have to do is go layout, page elements, edit (which ever element doesnt' fit properly) and simply change the "300" to "220" Like so:
